It's not a shame to lose to the Yellow Jackets as they have a good team this year and a threat to win their conference. What happened to Michigan yesterday was something nobody expected. Appy State is their division defending champion and a good team but no way should they ever beat a ranked division 1 team.

True, and it is too early to write any teams off for the season.
However, Notre Dame should have realized that Georgia Tech was going to come with a lot of pressure. Maybe they did know that, but they didn't show it.
Charlie Wies should have put 2 backs in the backfield on every play, to run delayed routes and to make sure to protect the QB. I never saw them do that. I was so dissappointed yesterday.
I always stand up for Charlie and the Irish, especially when people bring up the bowl game losses. They played OSU and LSU in consecutive bowl games. Both teams turned out to be top-2 teams in the following preseason polls. However, the more I watch Notre Dame play, and the more I hear Charlie Wies explain what happened, I get a stronger feeling that he is smoke and mirrors.
Again, I won't write them off just yet, but I expect more from my favorite team.

7 weeks later when notre dame still hasnt won a game, then it might be as bad a start of a season as the michigan loss

Weis is known for offensive genius...Well, the damn fatass genius needs to realize that Jimmy Clausen is the best QB he has and stop wasting time with Demetrius Jones...Weis was trying to take a page from Lou Holtz, winning with the option offense...but Weis is not Holtz...

Charlie Weis might not say it but this is a rebuilding year for ND.
Michigan is the embrassment of the Big 10.

Yeah but ND also broke a school record yesterday. Worst season opener in school history. So they ain't too far behind

No, you're not.
Appalachian State would have beaten you by 20 yesterday.
