ITunes and multiple .mp3 players?
I'm on the verge of subscribing to ITunes and I've done some research online to determine if it's really what I'm looking for but I'm getting mixed opinions and conflicting reviews. I have an old (but never used) Ipod Shuffle. My wife has a SanDisk player (typically used with Rhapsody). My daughter has some off-brand player. Since we all have different players we want to be able to benefit from one service. That said, I'd need to be able to download music to the computer and be able to transfer it (as an .mp3 file, I presume) to the hard drive, a CD-R, or any one of the .mp3 players. From what I understand, ITunes allows you to only download music directly into an Ipod or the ITunes player and you can't just transfer music to other folders in the hard drive or to a CD-R. I've heard of a program called Tansee Ipod Transfer which should help accomplish what I'm looking for (in conjunction with ITunes) but I've found mixed reviews about it. What is my best course of action?
By the way, I am not interested in peer to peer (P2P) download services due to their security issues...been there, done that, not interested - so please don't refer them to me!

Apple is very protective of what programs you can use over all to be able to get the best quality I would suggest Windows Media Player and then I tunes for your Ipod. I have not heard of a program that you can use for all of your mp3 players. If you are not a fan of Windows Media Player there are many other file transfer programs for off-brand MP3s. Most Mp3 players come with software that you can use also but they are usually just for there brand.
