What kind of Ipod should I buy?

I want to buy my husband an ipod but am not sure as to what kind. It would mainly be used while at the gym and stuff like that. I'm thinking the Ipod nano since it's pretty compact and recommended for activites like jogging (less skipping). But what is the difference with the GB's? I don't know how many hold how many songs and stuff like that. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks!

I would definitely go for the iPod nano or shuffle for the size factor. It depends if you would like to make play lists and plan out you songs (nano) or just listen to whatever songs that are on your iPod randomly (shuffle). The nano comes in 2, 4 and 8 GB versions. They carry about 500, 1000, and 2000 songs respectively and the 2 GB version costs $149. The shuffle is only 1 GB and hold about 240 songs, costing $80. Both versions come in a variety of colors and there fore look nice. Personally I went for the 2 GB nano because I can choose my songs, it is small, has a color screen and it isn't too pricey. -hope this helps-

I have an Ipod nano and yes it is compact but it doesn't play videos, pod casts or anything. I am thinking about getting a Ipod Video 30GB. But I think that if you are using it at the gym that the nano is a good deal because it plays a lot of songs and is extremely tiny like, thin. I would go with either one of those. Hoped I helped and Good Luck =)

The higher the GB the more songs it will hold. I would at least go with a 2gb ipod. My friend has a 2gb ipod and she has over 100 songs on there right now.
