Why don't you have signs that say "Tip" ?
You know what's really embarrassing? When you go somewhere, and you think that you should probably tip but you don't know if it's the sorta place where you can tip....I'm too meek to ask, so what jobs should you tip for? I know the pizza guy, and the waiter, but that's about it.

Anyone who "performs a service for you" is under consideration for a tip. Those that should be tipped are those that go above the minimum requirement of their job, such as a furniture delivery guy who helps you move furniture, a mover who takes extra apins with Aunt Sarah's mirror, your hairdresser who takes pains with your appearance, etc.

That all would depend on where you are. In some countries it is considered offensive to tip. Only in the United States is tipping customary. Other countries vary depending on the job held. In the United States tipping is expected for maids and bag handlers in hotels, hairstylists, waiters/waitresses, bartenders and cocktail waitresses, delivery people, doormen at either a hotel or apartment complex, and jobs such as these. Hope this helps.

You should essentially tip all persons providing a service for which you pay more than a few dollars, so long as a tip is not included in your bill, and the service warrants a tip.
Bartenders,
Porters,
Hair Stylists,
House cleaners,
Drivers, etc.
You don't need to tip people who provide an especially expensive service, such as the contractor who builds the addition to your house, or the guy who installs a new air conditioner.
Usually, tip the people who make below $10 an hour, as those tips are part of their living wage.

Most anyone who performs a service for you unless it specifically says no tipping. Also, it is usually not appropriate to tip the owners of a business.

I just wish business owners would pay their employees so we don't have to. The whole system of tipping is way out of control. I used to wait tables and my livelihood depended on those tips, not the multi-million dollar company I worked for - stupid.
