when a person sign his name followed by XXXXX?

what does this means???? or simply x or just xxx

    Xxx stand for kisses or a form of endearment. You wouldn't put xxxx on the bottom of a letter being sent to a company, bank etc.

    It's kisses. There is a sort of code in the number of kisses but I do not know what it is XX
