Why don't gel pens last as long as ink pens?

well, i'm not sure, but i think it's 'cause the gel ''flows'' more easily than the ink. like sometimes when you try to write with a gel pen, too much gel/ink comes out by accident, and you know the rest!

personaly i use gel pens a lot more because they can be used for more than just writing and because i use them for art and the look nicer and cost more so you tend to use them more often.
