Is this socialism?

Update:

Should Edwards be president, a man who thinks women should be forced to have exams against their will?

What about "freedom of choice" that liberals love to preach about?

Update 2:

Joey, you want the government to make decisions for you? The gov. doesn't "care" about you. It wants your tax dollars . Don't be naive.

Wow! Edwards wants to force people to go to the doctor or else you're not covered. And people have a problem with the Patriot Act? My head hurts!

I think if John Edwards had a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent such as Al Gore he would lose.

    Very scary!

It sounds like some Biblical prophecy. I can only surmise that anyone who refuses this 'mandatory' program will be prohibited from buying, selling, trading, etc..it's not difficult to envision the requirement of microchip implants for the government to verify one's compliance.

That is not scary to me. Idiotic is the word that comes to mind.

Edwards doesn't understand the American people. I have an annual physical anyway, but if the goverment ordered me to, I might just quit going to the doctor and tell big brother to kiss my ***.

P.S. Republicans have been trying to legislate medical decisions of individuals for 30 years. Isn't that fascism?

If I don't go to the doctor and am not eligible for government health care, will my employer or myself still be assessed by the government for the cost of my health care? My kids don't go to public school and I am assessed by the government for school taxes.

We are being taken over by both parties. I am beginning to think Ron Paul looks better all the time.

    The short answer: Yes.

Oh, yeah. I'm so upset that someone would CARE about my health! How dare they?

I mean, wouldn't it be so much more cost-effective to let all physical problems get so bad that they need major surgery, rehabilitation, long hospital stays, and then intensive care and maybe hospice???

Com'on! Are you afraid of mammograms? Don't like shots? He didn't say you had to accept the health care plan!

Don't you think insurance companies either charge more for people with health risks. Or maybe nt even insure them at all?
