Missing a .dll?

I seem to be missing msvcr80.dll, I have gone to download.com and down loaded what I thought was the ddl but still show it missing when I do my Norton WinDoctor.

Suggestions? I'm NOT a computer wiz.

    Here's a discussion: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?...

The suggestion is for you to search for msvcr80.dll and copy it into your System32 folder. That will make Norton happy.

You can open an explorer and do a find to locate the dll. Just right click on MyComputer and select search, then enter msvcr80.dll. The exact location of your System32 folder may vary. Check for it in C:\WINDOWS\system32. If not there, you can use exporer to find the directory by searching for 'system32'

When you find the dll, copy and past it into system32 directory. Don't move it there. It's fine to have two copies of it.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com/

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.
