  • One more question on Memory Stick?

I have a 8 GB Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo in my Sony camera.

Does the 8 GB "Pro Duo" give me more memory then the 8 GB "Duo"?

    Why?

Is that the ONLY advantage to the "Pro Duo", more memory?

  • Key-less entry key question. Jetta 2005?

I have taken apart the key, comes apart in half. One part has the key, the lower half has the buttons and I assume the battery. My questions is how do you replace the battery?

On my Mercedes I just take it apart and replace 2 button batteries. On the jetta key I can't seem to find the battery. No contacts exposed and don't know if I can break the case down any farther. Is the battery sealed in the lower half and proprietary by any chance?

  • Problems with Toshiba Laptops?

Anybody else have the problems I have? Right out of the box, problems shutting down, won't hibernate, if you put it in "stand-by" it will restart after 15 minutes on it's own. Stalls in shutting down. The ONLY way I can be sure it is shut down and it will stay that way is pull the battery out and unplug it. Toshiba doesn't seem to know what to do and a letter to the CEO has never been acknowledged. I have had 14 Toshiba laptops and this new one is the only one I have had problems with. Are they cutting corners on the newer ones?

  • Should I stay away from Toshiba Laptops?

I have had Toshiba Laptops for many, many years but the latest ones have really gone down hill. They Freeze up every 5 minutes (this is NOT an exaggeration) and won't go into Hibernation. Next time your at the computer store take a demo and try to put it into hibernation, you'll see what I mean. Years ago I wrote the CEO and told him of a battery problem, within a week I have a phone call and a new battery in the mail. Now I write the CEO about the above problems and NOTHING. I think I may try Sony next time.

  • Trouble with Toshiba Laptops?

I have talked with a couple people who have the same problem with their Toshiba Laptops as I do. Right out of the box it freezes up several times a day. The other problem is with the Hibernate mode, it is very unreliable and you can never rely on it shutting down properly. We are talking a NEW computer here.

Seems all the Toshibas at the stores have the Hibernation Mode disabled for this reason. Next time you see one, try to use the Hibernation Mode and see what happens.

Just wondering how many other people are having the same problems?.

  • Why do unqualified people answer questions?

It never ceases to amaze me that people who are not knowledgeable, unqualified or just gussing deside to answer a question.

Remember, it is better to be thought an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

  • Are most of the people who post here from a foreign country or teenagers?

The reason I ask is the spelling is atrocious. If they're from a foreign country that's one thing but if they're from America...God save us all.

Altho', it's said, there is no such thing as a dumb question some are teetering on the edge.
