Trouble with Toshiba Laptops?

I have talked with a couple people who have the same problem with their Toshiba Laptops as I do. Right out of the box it freezes up several times a day. The other problem is with the Hibernate mode, it is very unreliable and you can never rely on it shutting down properly. We are talking a NEW computer here.

Seems all the Toshibas at the stores have the Hibernation Mode disabled for this reason. Next time you see one, try to use the Hibernation Mode and see what happens.

Just wondering how many other people are having the same problems?.

bought a toshiba laptop (their top of the line satellite) 2 weeks ago and it kept freezing several times a day. returned it today and incurred a re-stocking fee. The compUSA store manager had technical personnel check it out for a half hour or so and said they could find no problems. Of course! you have to run real applications for several hours before you see the freeze. I plan to write to the toshiba contact address in Irvine, CA and urge others with the same problem to do so.

Never had a problem with my Toshiba laptops, I've owned one model or another for at least 10 years now. I have a Satellite Pro now and ... it has almost as much power as my desktop.

I don't use the hibernate mode, never have. It's always made more sense to me to just turn it off if I wasn't using it.

I only had to interchange my Toshiba annoyingcontinual after possessing it for 20 months. have you ever been getting any form of errors messages? appears like your annoyingcontinual may well be going out? are you able to run any disk scans or diagnostics? are you able to confirm something i.e. computing device, taskbar, domicile windows start up button? Does domicile windows even attempt to load? supply us a splash extra information.

If I remember correctly, some Toshibas were recalled in the Spring. Look around for some recalls.
