I think this is something you cannot generalise about. You firstly would need to define a multicultural child, is it someone who has parents of two different cultures? one that has family from one and grows up in another? etc. It is also going to be very different on the two cultures you are talking about and the extent to which they have incorparated both cultures. To do this, I think you would need to have access to thousands of children, which is a big ask. Why not narrow it to a few case-studies? I don't think you are going to find a great answer here, you need to do something more in depth....

ask anyone who is asian-american or latin-american....they have to blend into 2 cultures at once and adapt to both their home life and the "american" life in which they have to deal with other people
