Losing 2 answer points for deleted questions?

This recently happened to some others on here, but not on "deleted for violation" questions. It seemed to be happening for "No Best Answer" chosen on the question ones. They ALWAYS deleted the question on these, and returned the 5 points to the asker. So, I guess NOW they have decided that if the community decides that there is no Best Answer -- the deleted answers were not really good answers and that deleting them will also remove the points. OUCH!

They may also have extended this to the "violated" questions as well. Maybe this is their effort to minimize the ANSWERS to those types of questions -- which, in turn, may prevent folks from even bothering to post them. Wonder if it will work?

Ok, this is a load of........!!! I just figured it out. Since this community moderation thing started, it's been working and everything gets reported FAST! 2 questions I answered tonight got deleted tonight and I lost 2 points for the answer I put in... What a rip off.

Yes, I've noticed that too yesterday. I answered a question which got deleted the next day, and sure enough, I got -2 points. It seems like Yahoo is only doing this lately, because they were NOT doing this up until recently.

Perhaps, like Yahzmin said, it is to prevent us from answering such questions, although I think that's a bit of a silly tactic.

You will keep the points, with one possible exception. If your answer is the chosen Best Answer to a question, and gets a violation, then you will lose the points and the question will be deleted.

Thats the way it is here. Nothing you can do about it. I got points deducted for disagreeing with a question lol.

Sadly, the rules can get so arbitrary

If you check your activity board when these things occur, you will see what happened.

if your answer is deleted, you loose 2pts, That is it!

Dont answer if you are gonna say something stupid , people usually get mad when you do that and they delete your answer or report you, therefore.......
