Xbox 360 hard drive question?
Will a 360 hard drive hold data (games, downloads, etc.) if removed from the console? i.e. use one drive for Xbox files and the emulator and another for 360 files?

Yes, that would work.
As long as you don't disconnect the HD while the system is on, you'll be okay.

yes, it is 100 percent detachable and usable on another system, so if your going over to a friends house and you want to bring your saved game data you can and the hard will hold the data even if unattached for many many many years
