Side effect with first 2 month childhood vaccinations?

My daughter resieved her 2 month vaccination 3 days ago. I was told there would be side effect such as feever for up to 72 hours. The first night she had a little feever but it didn't last long. But now it is just over 72 hours and she is not breast feeding as much, cries most of the time (not so much when I hold her) and the night before her breathing was odd. Like she wasn't breathing. So I would move her tell I seen movement. That is scarry. I just want to know if this is all related to the vaccination and should I be worried. There are so many parents and websites out there today that are agenst this. I don't want by baby to suffer. What should I do?

Update:

Her breathing was ok last night. Today, when I put her down she starts crying like she is in pain. She just wants me to hold her, she seems fine then - she even smiles.

According to the pamphlets I was given by the doctors...that are very pro-vaccination...the complications can arise anytime within a week of vaccination. I have heard from my friends that are anti-vaccinations that there are complications that can arrive after that and some that can last a lifetime. I figure the truth is some combination of the two.

My little guy had tummy pains from his vaccinations as well. Tylenol did help with the pain and help settle him down. Although if she seems lethargic and won't take a bottle take her in. Better safe than sorry!

I promise you it really is not that bad. Ask the pediatrician the correct dose of tylenol for her (it goes by weight) and give her a dose maybe 30 minutes before the shots. This helps prevent the mild fever and discomfort the shots often cause. You really don't even have to use the full dose since it's preventative. It does seem like a lot, but in the US it's actually just 2 shots and an oral vaccine. (Unless you did not get her the hep b vax yet. My son had his in the hospital when he was born) It isn't exactly fun for them, but really just amounts to being uncomfortable, not traumatized. My baby was a little sleepy and not feeling awesome for about a day and a half but that was it. We used a little tylenol and he never even got a fever. I don't know statistics for how common these diseases are without vaccines, but I do know you don't want your child catching them.

It is defiantly related to the vaccine. My son got horribly sick from his vaccinations at 2 months old. I started to do research and that was his last vaccine. He is now 4 years old an healthier then his fully vaccinated friends. He also attends public school without any problems.

first ? for you did you try feeling her legs where they gave the shots and if so are there knots there. if so take a warm washclothe put it in a ziplac baggy and place it on her legs. another thing you could do if you have the removable show head is put her in the bath tub and run warm water over her legs. my son had that problem with knots in his legs after his first shots and the trouble breathing and not eating so well. it is a shock to there body and if they are in pain they will not eat as much but if her soft spot starts sinking in take her to the docs because in a small baby like that it is a sign of her being dehydrated otherwise just put warm washcloth and tynonal in a few days she will be back to herself

Yeah, I would say take her to the doctor too. If she's breathing funny, really lethargic and not breastfeeding like she normally would. Something is up. Good luck. It's a tough choice to vaccinate or not and experiences like yours make it even worse. You also might want to check out the following link:http://www.cdc.gov/od/science/iso/research_activti...

My son has had all his shots and the only side effect he has was fever and soreness at the site of the shot...that being said: CALL YOUR DOCTOR....that is not a little something, plus you will never stop worrying unless you talk to them!

It may or may not be related to the vacc. but regardless, if your child is not breathing right, you need to get her seen by a doctor, NOW!

These are precisely the reasons I researched the side effects of vaccinations and chose NOT to get them for my son. I know TONS of mothers who chose not to vaccinate and there children are completely FINE!!!
