As mentioned, the track hasn't sold out since they added a second race. It's not as simple as that, though. When there was only one race in Fontana, it sold out because it was the perfect weekend. It was always the first weekend in May. The weather was perfect, and there weren't as many other events going on. When they added a second race, they changed the race dates to February and September, which are lousy race dates here. If they moved the February race back to May, and the September race to October, they could sell out both races.

The Fontana race hasn't sold out since before they added the 2nd date. However, NASCAR does a pretty good job at overestimating the attendance numbers. Right. One look at all those empty seats tells the story.

California never sells out. That is why they shouldn't have 2 races there. I don't even like one race there.

Sorry I don't watch NASCAR at that track or Michigan. Horrible NASCAR tracks to watch a race at. Good for napping but not excitement.
Hope they stop going there some day and dump all the cookie cutters too.
