public/private banks are allowing antisocials/militants/terrorists to keep black money/RDX in bank lockers>

safest haven for unauth items could be religious places, Trusts/mis-trusts, office of the umpteen numbers of NGOs or the bank's lockers. should banks allow renting of lockers uncheked?

Update:

call it checks and balances rather than regulations. safety lockers are not to conceal but to ensure safety. if anything is kept which is undeclared how can a bank or a insurance company pay the compensation. no citizen has the right to conceal which is harmful to the state. this is not akin to right to privacy. in fact a selective few are using this facility wich is protected by the state police codting bilions to the public exchequers directly or indirectly.make disclosure mandatory otherwise we are actually Swiss Banks in India.

Update 2:

i hardly find any brilliant mind in yahoo answers. my question is relevant and still unanswered. my point is what type of policing we want. the one which does physical checks after a terrorist attack or the one which prevent any such attempt. our banking system in respect to lockers is an open invitation for the antisocials.do we want our bank to flourish abetting criminals, the tax evaders, the Telegies, the Sukh Rams, the Siddus, the Dons and such elements which find the security system in respect to safety lockers in a bank is porus and worthy parallel only to infamous Swiss bank. we must enact a law to curb this. any law abiding citizen will take no offence if it has to declare contents to the banks. we the people of india must demand this from the banks pvt or public.

EARLIER ACCOUNT OPENING WAS NOT SO STRICT IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR OR PRIVATE BANK.

BUT NOW GOVERNMENT HAS CHANGED GUIDLINES TO OPEN THE BANK ACCOUNT. NOW IT WILL BECOME DIFFICULT FOR THE WRONG PERSON TO OPEN THE BANK ACOUNT.

Anytime you talk of regulation, you MUST take into consideration the rights of people that AREN'T crimminals. Why should I give up the right to my privacy? You might say it prevents crime. So what? A military state is a GREAT way to prevent crime, but that's not the world I want to live in. Freedom has it's price. I gladly sacrifice my security for the chance to live in a free society. It's too bad that so many people want the government to babysit them...

It has become worse than amilitary rule. Every mall or shopping complex, hundreds of security guys and metal detectors makes your life sick. The black money and RDX can not come inside without the knowledge of Govt officials. You can make the borders more secure, and allow people to live fearlessly.

Lockers are given on rent for private use. Bankers do not inspect the goods sores in lockers. Can we allow the landlord to inspect our house very often what we do in the premises?
