    The reciprocal is merely the fraction inverted. There is no way you are going to make it rational because it is an irrational number.

    The Reciprocal of a number A is 1/A

    Hence if

    A = 2√2/2

    or

    A = √2

    Its reciprocal is,

    1/A = 1/√2

    To simplify it further, multiply it by (√2/√2)

    Hence,

    (1/√2) (√2/√2)

    = √2/2

    okay..the reciprocal of 2√2/2

    cancel 2 out first leaving √2..

    √2

    getting the reciprocal,

    you will get 1/√2

    making it rational, you have to put the square root at the numerator..

    so as the property says:

    you can multiply the equations by √2/√2 because it is equal to 1..

    (1) (√2)

    --- = -----

    (√2) (√2)

    getting:

    √2/2 = answer..

    this is the rational equation...

    hope this helps!

    you cant find the reciprocal of an irrational number like anything with a root in it, so undefined is a good answer.

    2√2 2

    ----- = ----- x √2= 1 x √2=√2

    2 2

    the reciprical of √2 is 1/√2 or 1/ 2^-2

    or 1/1/2^2 or 2^2 which is 4

    This is the reciprocal. It is not a rational number.
