do other countries claim money for children?

Do parents in other countries other than the uk claim money no mater how wealthy they are to have kids..The uk is now going to give expectant mothers £200 so they can eat healthy.this is on top of family credits and working tax credits.

Do you think if people want children they should foot the bill for them and not the tax payer..If you want kids then finance them yourself. This may slow teen pregnancies down and also give them a chance of a better future. Those that can afford kids should also be left to finance their kids themselfs and those that can't afford kids should be made to have some sort of long term contaceptive to stop them having kids..this would save billions in tax a year.ok its 3-25am and i dont have a clue what im typing so goodnite

Update:

Nessy you are missing the point..I sympathies with you having had cancer and i agree something has to be in place for genuine situation..a lot of people can afford their children without having to resort to handouts as well..those that can not afford to have kids should not rely on the tax payer to bring them up for them.Yes im fortunate to have money but that was not always the case..im a single dad and instead of sitting on my ars* waiting for the next giro i went to work..no working tax credits then and i have done good for myself..i wanted to supply my kids with a future not scratch about all day.todays teen pregnacys are way to high and very few of them go to work..is that fair on the tax payer?no its not so my point is if you cant afford kids then dont have them and if you do have them then dont expect the tax payer to bring them up for you.do you think after what you said that your hubby would have let you have that money?i doubt it and it just becomes cigarette and booze money

I'm fed up with paying for people with children who can not afford them. As for them paying our pensions of the future, I PAY for my pension of the future and so does every other working person. The NHS is vastly short of money yet we are giving £200.00 so pregnant women eat healthier, obviously these women who need to be educated about food should not have children as their IQs are too low!

Spoken like someone who has a decent income. Some one parent families, of which I am one (and I was married to a louse who abused me and never contributes to his kids), cannot afford to manage without family allowance. I could have done with £200 to buy decent food when I was pregnant as the louse spent most of the money on computer games (no, I didn't have a say in it). I was left with £15 to £20 per week to spend on food for 5 people and some days I didn't eat at all until evenings because there wasn't any food in the house.

Some people still might say I'm a scrounger, but I couldn't work because I had cancer, and I don't feel guilty for being on benefits because one year I paid £64,000 in taxes. I've put more into the system than I have ever taken out.

My point is that each person situation is different and so people shouldn't judge before they know the facts.

I think a lot of countries have some kind of support for low income families. However, I do think that there are already a lot of benefits for people who choose to have children - the money to promote expectant mothers to eat heailthy is ridiculous. How exactly will they make sure women will spend it on veg and not booze and fags? Moreover, it is the responsibility of the expectant mother to want the best for herself and the child and eat well. The goverment should not be nannying what people eat.

Also the problem with some people who have lots of kids and that have no means to support them apart from benefits, and come from no income/poorly educated families (although the two are not mutually exclusive), often, not always, have history repeating. Therefore the kids that are being supported by taxpayers will not necessarily pay back their investment and follow the same path of claming money for a lifetime. In that case those people need a kick up the a**!

fengirl2 is actual, assylum seekers cnnot declare any reward, whether, there's a checklist that's meant to be secret and grow to be asked to be made so via the secretary of state. The checklist pertains to social housing for assylum seekers and states, among different issues, here:- Social landlords and there workers are certain via the officialsecrets act with regards to the contents of this checklist. Housing made attainable to assylum seekers would be completely provided including such products as bathroom paper, there must be a 22inch television in each and every room nd telephone must be freely offered etc etc etc. think of i'm joking? Then skinny back, this checklist and those provisions fairly exist, so what choose could an assylum seeker have for greater desirable than £fifty 5/week. 2006 - 36000 allowed claims for toddler benefit with regards to infants living outwith the united kingdom 2006 - 53000 alloowed claims for CTC for infants living outwith the united kingdom. This u . s . a . is being raped and we are letting it take place, dont be afraid to talk related to the immigration difficulty, we've one, and regardless of their superb tries to close each and every person up approximately it, the time is quickly drawing near whilst the entire subject will come to a head. the computing device and liberal brigade are stiffling unfastened speach in this difficulty, they strengthen the scope of disrimination regulations to such an quantity that the typical public of persons are afraid to broach the difficulty. properly dont be, we could have an hnest and open debate on the difficulty with some common an open data related to the merrits and pitfalls of this point of unchecked immigration.

Taxes paid by the kids born today will pay the pensions of the elderly tomorrow. Your children are your future. I think most European nations pay people, directly or indirectly, to have children.
