  • A question about freezing dinners.?

I made a lovely dinner and froze it for another day. It was like something from the great flood: waterlogged. Where did I go wrong? Can someone please tell me the secret of freezing? Lots of people do it successfully so it has to be me!

  • How do i get a CD to open properly on my pc?

It is an instructional CD and is only opening in a 'notepad' way. My start menu doesn't seem to have the 'run' feature which would make no difference, anyhow, since the CD opens, just not in the right way. Can anyone help, please?

  • A question about plumbing?

In my bathroom, when I empty the sink of water, I can hear a gurgling sound from the toilet and shower. They seem to be working fine but something must be going on inside them that is not right. Can anyone tell me what to do to avoid a plumbing disaster? Thanks.

  • Has anyone dealt with Error Code 0x8004d112?

I'm trying to install a wireless router but my pc won't let me configure it, citing Error code 0x8004d112. as the reason. I'm seriously thinking of giving up computers altogether because no matter what I try to do, it all seems to go crazy. Can anyone help?

  • A question about setting up wifi?

I've bought a router and a usb wireless adapter so that I can use my pc upstairs. However, it tells me I have to run an ethernet cable from the router to my pc. Since my pc is upstairs and my modem is downstairs, how can I do this? Is there another way i can connect them? I don't want to open the wizard cd because I may have to take it back if it isn't suitable, and if I have to run a cable from the router to the pc then it certainly is not suitable. I explained this to the man in the shop but he still sold this to me. Someone, PLEASE HELP!

  • Is there any way I can rescue a soggy topped fish pie, pls?

I put too much fish stock over my mashed potato topping on my fish pie and it is now soggy. Can some aspiring chef tell me how it could be rescued? It has gone cold and will be reheated before being eaten - if you can tell me how to make it edible! Thanks in advance.

  • A question about wall-mounted tvs.?

Can anyone give me the pros and cons about putting your tv on the wall, please? It seems like a great solution for a small room but is it a good idea? Is it safe? Might I end up with a telly on the floor, or worse, on my head? All answers will be appreciated and will go towards helping me make up my mind. Thanks in advance

  • Does anyone know the name of a plant that has red foliage all of the time.?

In the three years I knew it, it never flowered. It grew in a pot and is the loveliest plant I have ever seen. I tried growing it at home, from a slip, but it died. I would dearly love to know the name of this plant so that I could get one. The man to whom it originally belonged could not recall it's name. Maybe someone on here knows of a plant whose foliage never, ever, changes colour from the beautiful red that it is. It looks like the artist's colour, Alizarin Crimson.

  • A question about a gas cooker.?

The jets on my cooker are making a 'singing' noise when they are turned down. Is this dangerous? I know it sounds ridiculous but it's true. Can someone tell me if it's ok or do I need to have it looked at. Why would it happen? Thanks in advance for helpful answers - not the 'what is it singing' type!

  • A question about the proposed changes to the constitution that will be on the agenda with the presidential?

election. I've just watched The Frontline. Since I don't have a law degree, a lot of it went over my head. I'm scared that voting yes to these proposed amendments to the constitution will put too much power in the hands of the government of the day. Can someone on here explain the pros and cons of this referendum in plain English to me, please? I know it's the travel section, but a lot of Irish people are on here and we, and our families, are the ones who will be affected by this.
