i've a few quick questions bout chemistry that i'm struggling with.. look below:?

1. Write the molecular equation for the combination of aqueous solutions of sodium chloride and silver nitrate.

2. Write the complete ionic equation for the combination of aqueous solutions of sodium chloride and silver nitrate.

3. Write the net ionic equation for the combination of aqueous solutions of sodium chloride and silver nitrate.

i know it looks like i'm doin my hw here but just need some help and some explanations.. any answers would be great thanx..

    1) NaCl(aq)+AgNO3(aq)=NaNO3(aq) + AgCl(s).when the two solutions combine,the ions present in both solutions combine with each other.

    2) Na(+)(aq)+Cl(-)(aq) + Ag(+)(aq)+ NO3(-)(aq)=Na(+)+NO3(-) + Ag(+)+Cl(-)

    3)Ag(+)(aq) + Cl(-)(aq)=AgCl(s)

    You need to understand the formation of precipitates and know the solubility of ionic substances.

    1) Both compounds are soluble in water and will form positive and negative ions in water. The recombination of the ions could form the following compounds -- sodium nitrate and silver chloride. Look up the solubilities of these compounds and you will find that silver chloride is insoluble in water and sodium nitrate is soluble in water. Silver chloride solid will be formed and the sodium ions and nitrates ions will remain in solution uncombined.

    Molecular equation

    NaCl(aq) + AgNO3(aq)=>NaNO3(aq) + AgCl(s)

    Complete ionic equation

    Na^+(aq) + Cl^-(aq) + Ag^+(aq) + NO3^-(aq)=>

    Na^+(aq) + NO3^-(aq) + AgCl(s)

    Net ionic equation

    Ag^+(aq) + Cl^-(aq) ==> AgCl(s)

    1. NaCl(aq) + AgNO3(aq) --> NaNO3(aq) + AgCl(s)

    Explanation: A molecular formula shows the complete formulas of all species. Dissolved ionic species are not written in dissociated form.

    2. Na+(aq) + Cl-(aq) + Ag+(aq) + NO3-(aq) --> Na+(aq) + NO3-(aq) + AgCl(s)

    Explanation: A complete ionic equation shows all dissociated ions on the products and reactants side. Precipitated ions are written in molecular form.

    3. Ag+(aq) + Cl-(aq) --> AgCl(s)

    A net ionic equation shows only the ions that actually react, and any molecular substances or precipitates.

    no longer... precisely. Jews do no longer have confidence in a "rapture." this is not any longer interior the Bible, even interior the Christian scriptures. Jews have confidence that the Temple would be rebuilt via the Messiah; considering the fact that he hasn't come yet, it hasn't been rebuilt. The rebuilding of the temple will preceed the international to come again - no longer the "end of the international." this is not any longer area of Judaism. The "misplaced ark" is the Ark of the Covenant. It grow to be initially made to hold the pills of stone containing the ten Commandments, and grow to be seen to be the data of God's skill. It grow to be carried via clergymen properly earlier to the persons and armed forces; legend mentioned that none ought to stand against a protection rigidity preceeded via the Ark. in accordance to the scriptures, the ark additionally contained a golden jar containing the assorted manna that fell from heaven to feed the Jewish people as they wandered interior the wasteland, and at one element additionally contained the workers of Aaron that budded, as defined interior the scriptures. whether, via the time Kings grow to be written, purely the stone pills remained interior the Ark. right this moment, Jewish synagogues have an "ark" for the Torah Scrolls on the front of the room. that's often purely a style of cabinet to hold the scrolls (besides the reality that huge synagogues now and back have very tricky arks), that are additionally lined via a curtain as a everyday rule, and is opened as quickly as we worship, and of direction as quickly as we ought to get the Torah scrolls out to be study.

    1. NaCl + AgNO3 --> AgCl + NaNO3

    2. Na(+)Cl(-) + Ag(+)NO3(-), don't forget the (aq) for aqueous. The (+) and (-) should be superscripted.

    3. Cl(-) + Ag(+) --> AgCl

    NaCl + AgNO3 --> NaNO3 + AgCl

    [Na+] + [Cl-] + [Ag+] + [NO3-] --> [Na+] + [NO3-] + AgCl(solid)

    [Cl-] + [Ag+] --> AgCl

    Ionic equations are hard to write without sub and super scripts. I hope you understand. Email me if you need more help. I'm very helpful when the questions are simple. :)
