Oregon Ducks season?
Did the ducks show that they once again can be a national power,or is michigan that bad?
It was really funny seeing all those proud michigan fans left almost in tears while the quack attack rolled through the big house.

They have the potential, but the schedule will be difficult this year. The game at Cal will be HUGE.
Source(s): Terrance W...so winning against an irrelevant Michigan team is a big win? Seriously, the whole Pac 10-SEC thing's gotta stop..... - Anonymous1 decade ago
Terrence W clearly isn't on here looking at comments and questions too much. I don't think SEC fans really say anything anymore, unless it's in response to Austin N or some other idiotic post.
As far as the Oregon team and the PAC-10 are concerned, they are definitely gaining respect in the college football world. However, the win against Michigan could look excellent or just mediocre. It depends on how Michigan looks for the rest of the season... it's still too early to decide. On one hand, losing to App. St. and then Oregon really doesn't make Michigan look that great to begin with. However, if Michigan improves throughout the rest of the season (and I believe they are just in a rut right now) the win could make Oregon look incredible. The win, as it stands now, is still being overshadowed by Michigan's loss to 1-AA App. St. in week 1. Give it a couple weeks and then you'll have an answer to your question.
In my opinion though, the win made Oregon look like a team that could be a force to be reckoned with. Watch out USC.

I would really like to see the Ducks do well this year, but I'm very thankful that they handed Michigan their worst defeat EVER. We've been trying for years to get head coach Lloyd Carr (a.k.a., "The Dinosaur") booted out of U of M and the Oregon Ducks have helped our cause mightily. I think Oregon was underestimated at the outset, but after they beat up the Wolverines THAT badly in The Big House the rest of the PAC-10 teams are going to take notice. That's going to make their job tougher, but from what I saw on Saturday the Ducks are up to the challenge.

To be honest the Ducks did look good, they should give USC a tough game in Eugene, Oregon. But overall my opinion has changed a little with the PAC 10. I always thought of the PAC 10 as a soft conference, but they do have some quality teams this year. But I still feel that the SEC is the best from top to bottom.

I've been following them for about 3 years now, and they will end up losing a handful of games again. They won't fool me this year. Although they only have 2 serious road games against zona (who beat them last year @oregon), and UCLA. Still they play usc and cal @home and oregon st is never a lock. I hope they do better, but i'm not buying it just yet.
i see the rest of the year going
Fresno st W
Cal L
Wazzu W
@Washington (close but O gets the W)
USC L
Arizona St W
@Zona L
@UCLA L
Oregon st (toss up i'll give ducks da W)

Final record of 8-5

I said it before the game Michigan cannot stop a spread offense. I was right they cannot. The defense is terrible and Henne and Hart are very overrated.
Oregon is a good team though.

I am glad another team from the Pac 10 did something so that SEC fans can shut up. they helped my Trojans because when we come through and destroy the ducks it will be a legit win
