The whole Bermuda Triangle thing has never actually been proved, its a theory more than anything. But if you read all the stories it makes you think, maybe there could be a strange phenomenon that makes things disappear. Maybe its an area which changes matter into energy or something. You never know!

Yes, it is real, and I saw a TV documentary with an interesting scientific reason as to why the ships and planes sink. It has to do with certain gases being released from the ocean floor. I want to say methane, but I may be incorrect on that detail. Anyway, this gas rises to the surface and temporarily destabilizes the water's surface. If it strikes a ship, the ship loses buoyancy, and ceases to float. If hit in the right place, the ship capsizes and goes down VERY quickly, with no warning.

The same gas rises into the air, and messes with the engines of certain aircraft, and also the compasses/navigation systems of some. The engines pretty much cut out immediately and down goes the plane. If only the compass is affected, the pilot may or may not be able to keep control and find land before fuel runs out. (This twirling compass phenomenon is reported often in the triangle.)

It turns out that the floor of the Triangle has a lot of these gas deposits, and that they can erupt quickly with no warning. One of the big eastern universities has a scale tank imitating the area that they have been using to research the theory. The rate at which ships go down when struck is frightening. Sailors would have no chance to react.

I wish I could remember more specifics, but the information has to be out there. :)

  • there is nothing mystical about the Bermuda triangle. What causes the ships to sink are select methane bubbles that rise to the surface. When that gas rises into the air it messes up the engine to small air planes. People have been able to make it through with no problems at all since it is select bubbles that rise in select places.

An interesting tv show last week explored the theory of a 'miniature Black Hole" in the area of the Bermuda Triangle.

Sorry I can't remember which channel - either History, Natl.Geograph., or Discovery. Very intriguing !

Yes and no. Yes, ships and planes have vanished while passing through. No, there has not been a greater than average incidence of this happening in this area than in other parts of the world, so there is no reason for the superstitions surrounding the triangle.

hi, Salt no longer something better than the salt interior the sea and Cosmic Rays from the sunlight. The "Triangle" is the only place on earth the place this occurs, the cosmic rays evaporates salt into the air besides as water at one in all those severe temperature it is going to become a very condense invisible corrosive gas while something enters this it corrodes in seconds, by way of altitude it effects planes besides. marvel is sea birds have learnt to over come this as their physique is risk-free by way of feathers does not corrode they carry their breath till clean, fish additionally dive deeper to sidestep the ships and planes crashing into the sea this saving them unknowing from the corrosive floor water (the top)

The triangle is part of the Earth energy power grid network.

Sure is. It's a "stargate". It opens and closes when certain energies on earth are aligned just right. :)

Yup, it's real, don't know why ships and planes have dissapeared into it.
