What's a good protein supplement to add to my diet?
I'm close to GNC so that would be a plus if they sold it.

Whey protein isolate is a great supplement for pre and post workout protein. For other times of the day, your best bet will always be whole food lean protein sources and not whey. Other products to consider are mixed protein (usually egg, milk and whey proteins mixed together in one supplement) or casein powder, another common protein supplement that's slow digesting, unlike whey which is very fast to digest.
I suggest staying away from supplements that contain more than the protein itself, such as weight gainers or anything that contains creatine. Check the ingredients to make sure they're sugar free, carb free and low in fat. Most protein supplements contain at least some amino acids naturally, where milk derivatives contain the most complete amino acid profiles available (whey, casein, etc).

If you are lactose intolerant and you have problems with gas and bloating, then the isolate might be a better choice. But being more "pure" doesn’t necessarily mean that whey isolate is better. Whey protein concentrate is an excellent source of protein. Besides, isolate does have disadvantages: For one, it is more expensive than concentrate. Isolate has also had some of the valuable immune-boosting protein subfractions such as alpha lactoglobulins and lactoferrins removed in the filtering process.
Whey Protein Concentrate is considered the most economical choice when buying a protein powder. Whey protein in general is known for its extremely quick and fast digestion, it is great for post workout shakes as well as anytime you need a quick burst of amino acids. Whey Protein Concentrate is also an excellent source of BCAA’s.
TrueProtein’s whey protein concentrate is derived from sweet dairy whey (milk). The process is through a filtering process in which fat, lactose, carbohydrates and other materials are removed from the final product. Whey Protein Concentrate can be sourced at 35% to 80% protein per final product. TrueProtein only offers Whey Protein Concentrate at its highest ratio, 77-80%.
TrueProtein's line of supplements are the best quality and lowest priced you will find. No additives (unless you request them) no fillers, you get exactly what you ask for, not some "proprietary blend" of cheap protein like some other products. I order my Whey Protein Concentrate from here, I just received my 25 pound bag of protein, should last me a year. I ordered my BSL chocolate flavouring separately, so I can add as much as I like. If you order 16 pounds or more you get a 5% discount and if you use my DISCOUNT CODE JVK010<<<copy and paste, and you will save an additional 5%!!!
