trolls are destructive little varmints that have no real value in our realm their sole purpose is to cause as much chaos and agitation as possible for the sole purpose of amusing their selves and the lemmings that follow them these creatures have no social graces and IQ`s equal to a flower and i apologize to all flowers trolls they must be hunted and removed for the good of all

I was confused about this myself..
If you log on to community guidelines, Yahoo covers that. Other answers to this will be forthcoming. Trolls seem to like to cause problems for the purpose of gaining points or reporting you for some unknown reason.
Otherwise, I am not sure. Some say that people who are Level 1 to 3 may be trolls.
It is suggested that if you think you have trolls (people who watch your question and answers basically) you may choose to make your questions and answers private.
Hope this helps a bit. I have had a problem with this over the past day. Love, Desi. lol.

Trolls also will register on Yahoo and post a number of really ridiculous questions that are highly controversial, repugnant or nasty - knowing and expecting to make people mad and get typical responses from people who should know better. As soon as they are violated and banned from Yahoo, they re-register under other names and using other computers and start all over.
The best way to deal with someone who posts profane, racist or prejudicial questions is just to ignore them. Nothing upsets a troublemaker more than being ignored and seeing "0" in the number of responses they get.

Generally, they are attention-seekers just looking to be offensive, disruptive, or to start trouble for the fun of it. Yes, if reported enough they can lose access, but it does no good. They will just create a new account and come back again. The only effective thing to do is ignore posters who aren't engaging in legitimate questioning, answering, or discussing. If they don't see any evidence they are upsetting people, it takes the fun out of it for them.

Yes, they can lose their privilege of participating. I've noticed a slow down so whatever Yahoo has done, its working.
They are responders who insult, use foul language or exhibit racist remarks when answering your questions. You can report them and use block user as a deterrent.
