Cut off the tip and pour bleach on it, also pour it around the surrounding area if you can. The nutrients are gotten from the roots so this way you're giving it to them at both ends!! LOL

Roundup (or glyophosate 360) is an all purpose systemic herbicide and so is drawn in to the plant over a period of a week or two. However, some plants have natural blocking mechanisms so this product doesn't always work. You may need a specific herbicide for hardier plants. Your local hardware store or agricultural supplier should have all the information you need. (Also, it will help if you can get the plants identified.)

hi, my husband managed to kill off a large amount of ivy on a fence this way so I hope it helps you. cut a piece off exposing the main stem and immediately put round up on the fresh cut stem. it will only work if it is done straight away while the stem is moist otherwise it seals up very quickly. its time consuming but it works.took aweek or so but once it was brown it easily pulled away.
