  • Freezing food when it's hot or cold?

I know there are two schools of thought out there.

    a. Freeze while food is still hot so bacteria doesn't have a chance to develop.

    b. Let it cool a bit first so it doesn't thaw food already frozen.

    Tell me your thoughts, people!

I have an 11yo daughter (going on 15) and I know this question is going to come sooner or later: "Dad, can I get a tattoo?". I personally don't find tattoos appealing, so how should I answer if or when the day arrives? i want to prepare now. Your thoughts please.

  • What is the saying?

Try this one for size. Come up with the common saying for this.....

A slight inclination of the cranium is as adequate as a spasmodic movement of one eye to an equine quadraped, utterly devoid of any visionary capacity.

  • Being fingerprinted when travelling - yes or no?

Do you (as I do) believe that having to be fingerprinted to enter America is an assault on our civil liberties? Or do you think it's a good thing?

I had been saving to travel to America to explore that beautiful country, but when the Republican administration brought in fingerprinting tourists, I changed destinations.

Also, any other countries you know of that share this practice?

  • Are Movie Ratings Used With Your Kids?

I am a father of four. I have an 8yo boy whose social behaviour used to deteriorate after watching a lot of PG and mild M rated movies. After a suggestion that the behaviour was a result of this, we banned him from anything above a G rating, with PG movies monitored by us first. His reward for not kicking up a fuss about it was that, as all the new-release kids movies became available on DVD, we would buy them for him.

The change in his behaviour has been astounding!

My question is this, how many parents out there use the ratings systems with there kids?

And if you don't, why not?

  • Speaking Your Native Tongue?

If you had the choice of travelling to 2 different countries, would the country that speaks your native language have a major impact on your choice?

  • Too much swearing in contemporary music?

I'd like to hear from anyone who thinks that there is a lot of gratuitous swearing in the chart-topping songs of today.

I am an entertainer who sings for a (well-paid) hobby.

I find that songs are more enjoyable when you aren't offending peoples senses.

I'd like to hear lots of opinions.
