how clear cmos password without opening case?

Go into bios setup and clear it from there

Telekenesis. You MUST open the case to reset the cmos password if you don't know it already. Otherwise type the bios password in, and where you set the password before, just leave it blank.

the only way to do this is by waiting for the motherboard battery to die =)

which brings me to my quick fix.....instead of using the jumpers to reset the bios, remove all power from the PC and just pop out the little battery on the motherboard for a minute or so....

I think you just have to open the case, and take off the small battery for a few minutes, and it will reset.
