How do i stop the "spooler" in my Vista OS for Epson Stylus Photo R220 driver so i can uninstall the driver ?

My Epson Stylus Photo Printer driver did not have the ink monitor function enabled, and i downloaded another driver from Epson. Now when i attempt to print a test page, i get a pop-up : "Version Error dat2data' Please install again"

I am unable to uninstall the current drivers (2). When i select "epson printer uninstall" from Start, all programs, etc,

message is "windows uninstaller not responding ", after the message "searching for installed printers".

Thanks for any help.

replaced into the chip on the cartridge precise reset? Epson cartridges have a chip on them that acts as an on/off change if this has no longer been reset the printer will act as though the cartridge is empty or defective. the only thank you to scientific care this is to interchange the offending cartridge or reset the chip. The chip can basically be reset utilising a chip re-setter.

Start button, settings, control panel, Administrative tools, then services and then print spooler, then right click and stop

Open the print jobs in progress, paused, etc., and all jobs, pending or otherwise. Also look above or below my response for other responses. Hope mine helps. But, sorry.. it's all I can think of.
