He won't stop peeing in the house?
We adopted a one yr old American Bull Terrier, Tyson. When we got him, we (my fiance and I), were both on vacation so we were home a lot. If we left and went to the store or to church-no problem. Now that we are back at work, Tyson has peed in the house everyday. We keep in in the kennel during the day because he is a chewer. What can we do to stop him from urinating all over the place. He has even snuck into the guest room and peed while we were there.
He is housebroken and displayed perfect behavior during our vacation. He knows that if he goes to the door we will take him outside. We play with him and take him on walks.

look up separation anxiety, there are a lot of good web sites to help you with this. do not give up on the dog...he just misses you.

First, use an enzymatic cleaner to remove the odor of the pee. If the dog can smell it, he will probably go there again because it smells like a bathroom. And remember, dogs have much better noses than we do!
Once you have all the stains taken care of, work on housetraining as if he had never been housetrained before. Make sure he is supervised at all times when you are home. You can tie his leash to you if he keeps wandering to other parts of the house. Take him out often. Every time he "goes" outside, praise him and give him a treat.
When you can't supervise him, keep him in his crate. This isn't a long term deal-- you only need to do this until he is fully trained.
If he does urinate in the house, don't make a big deal out of it. If you catch him in the act, tell him no and if you can, carry him outside quickly so he can finish outside. Don't yell at him or scare him; this will just encourage him to sneak off and not do it right in front of you.

Potty Training: Depending on the size of the dog, feed and water him, wait 5-10 minutes, take him to the location you want him to go, when he relieves himself both ways, bring him back inside your home reward him with a treat or a friendly game of fetch with his favorite toy. Eventually (usually 1-2wks depending on the breed) he will let you know when its time to go, until then do not leave water or food out so he doesn't have any accidents. If he has an accident clean the area thoroughly, then completely soak it in hand sanitizer so he doesn't return to it. (It kills the odor causing germs and bacteria that makes them return to it.)
Pee Accidents: Well your lucky, I was training a small chug in my office at work. He tinkled every chance he got! I completely doused my carpet with arm and hammer waited 2 days, came back and every spot which he peed discolored the baking soda. Once you locate the spots, cleanse them thoroughly with a urine or blood cleanser, if you still have the animal that urinated and want to stop him from going back to it, completely douse the area with hand sanitizer,,,,yes it actually takes the smell away,,,,and keeps the perpetrator away from it.

He's not angry - just distressed about the change in schedule. start over with your housetraining (it should go faster this time) and when you can't supervise him, confine him (not necessarily to the crate, but to a room where he can't do much damage).

he might be angry at the fact that you and your spouse to be are now all of a sudden gone for a good portion of the day, when usually you both were on vacation and there to watch him all day.

this will sound gross but it works put vinager where the dog is peeing at and he won't pee there no more.
