Stepny-gate & FIA / WMSC ruling - opinions?

Here's the details and justifications of the ruling by the World Motor Sports Council.

http://www.fia.com/resources/documents/17844641__W...

What do you think, and why? And please justify why you feel that way.

Update:

Sorry, F1angel, but I don't think that being disqualified from this year and being fined USD 100 million is all talk and no action.

I think the report, sadly, is just that: sad. Actually, I'm wrong, it's very sad.

It's like the British reading German enigma codes in WW2, except this is, at least in theory, a sport. I don't believe McLaren needed the information, but that isn't what this is about, which makes the whole thing so stupid. The FIA concluded that some sort of advantage was gained, which looking at the earlier part of the report is likely. I think the FIA was correct to take this matter seriously.

    My thanks for the link.

IMO, all it shows is all talks and possible action but nothing was done! Don't u think if they had proof that the Mclaren team used those documents to their advantage they would've made that public! All they did was just raised more speculation to the scandal! The only thing they showed were email quotes from Pedro to Fernando, from Pedro to Mike, and how many text, SMS, and emails that were sent between Nigel and Mike and I have to say this: It really doesn't prove anything!

I think the Italian court case will be very interesting.

Stepney did not give evidence but will in the court case.
