  • Did Jesus really die for our sins?

If so, how dare we make His martyrdom meaningless by not committing them any more?

  • Do you believe there really was a rebellion in heaven?

How can angels rebel against God when they were created without free will?

Biblically, only mankind was given free will. This implies that it was what God wanted and not a rebellion at all. It sounds more like God wanted someone to be considered to be His moral opposite, as a way of emphasizing His greatness and goodness. And if He was going to set up false competition to make Himself look better, who would He give the job to? It would have to be someone He could trust implicitly not to let Him down...of course, it would have to be His archangel, Lucifer.

Considering the above, do you believe that the rebellion in heaven was truly a rebellion?

P.S. This is not necessarily what I actually believe, but you've gotta wonder...

  • Does the size of a man's foot really correlate to the size of his...?

Does the size of a man's foot really correlate to the size of his penis - or is this a phallusy?

  • During sex, why is it that...?

...if the woman doesn't have an orgasm, the man is considered at fault - meaning that he's insensitive to her needs, or selfish, or simply a lousy lover. But if the man doesn't climax, he's considered to be in need of medical help for the problem? Isn't her pleasure his responsibility to the same extent as his pleasure is hers? I would have thought so, but it seems that the general consensus on Y!A differs.

  • Why do people think telling the truth means being blunt and rude?

When people (men and women) say "Do you want the truth?", they often seem to mean "Do you want me to be blunt and insulting to you?" Can't someone tell the truth and still be tactful? I believe that I can always choose my words carefully to avoid giving offence or hurting someone's feelings, and still be completely honest. What do you think?

  • Should "equal rights" always equal "identical rights" ?

Do modern-day feminists believe that "equal rights" is the same thing as "identical rights"?

  • McLaren and Renault.?

Does anyone else think its odd that Renault went from having the best car the last 2 seasons to having one of the worst this season? And that McLaren did the exact opposite? (bad car last season, great this season.)

It makes me wonder if Alonso has been getting information about Ferrari from Nigel Stepney for a lot longer than just this season. The timing seems a little suspicious.

PS: I like McLaren, Renault and Ferrari equally, so I'm not looking for bias here - just your thoughts on the specific question.

    Thanks!

  • What's the best way to refer to the deceased?

My wife passed away a number of years ago. I still simply refer to her by name when talking about her with friends, but I don't know how to refer her when talking to someone who didn't know her. "My late wife" sounds like "but she'll be here any minute, traffic must be bad", and "my ex-wife" sounds like we were divorced. "My last wife" is no good either, since it makes people wonder what happened - and they usually assume divorce. We had 9 good years of marriage, and I don't want people to get that impression. "My previous wife" and "my old wife" don't give the correct impression, either.

    Any ideas?

  • Is there a cosmic battle between good and evil?

Supposedly, mankind is the only of God's creations to be given free will. Doesn't this mean that the rebellion in heaven was foreordained? After all, if angels don't have free will, then the rebellion in heaven that resulted in Satan being cast down (at that time, he was the archangel, after all) was planned entirely by God. And how can an angel - created without free will - be in opposition to God without God's consent, indeed, without His instruction to do so? After all, only God is omnipotent.

Is there really a cosmic battle between heaven and hell, good and evil, God and Satan...or is it just very complicated solitare?
