question for cross stitchers?
I am printing out some cross stitch patterns from PCStitch (http://www.pcstitch.com/) as a gift for a friend. For you cross-stitchers out there, is it easier to read a pattern if it is spread out among a bunch of 8 1/2 x 11 double-sided sheets of paper bound in a notebook, or if it's printed out on a large (say, 11x17) sheet of paper that is laid out on a table? I want to know what would be more convenient to work from.

It would be easier to work from the 11X17. I have taped patterns together to see whats going on. If you have to resort to 81/2X11 please only use one side of the paper as your friend may not have a way to copy the second side.

My preference would be to have the large piece of paper. When the pattern is split up, it can be difficult to match up the pattern when you have to go from one piece to the next. you have to make sure your stitches on the fabric match up to the pattern, unless there is an overlap, you can get lost.

My preference is one sheet. I usually go one color at a time, and not one section at a time, so I would have to page through to find the different stitch placements.

it would be easier for it to be on one 11 x 17 sheet of paper than on multiple peices that you have to go back and forth thru
