I am renovating my bathroom and can save quite a bit of money by painting it myself. I have painted walls before, but never a ceiling or trimwork. Can some experienced painters give me some tips? My contractor will be supplying the paint.

I live in an older house. My washing machine backs up into my kitchen sink. I was told that if I have a cheater vent put in near my kitchen sink, it will improve things, as well as help the sink drain more quickly. Is that a good idea? It doesn't sound too expensive. ( and before you ask, yes, I will be hiring a plumber to do the work!)

My friend wants to go from Horseshoe Bay to Brentwood Mall. It's one fare zone. Does she just ask the bus driver for a transfer to get on the skytrain? She thinks if she asks the driver for help, the people behind her will get mad and she will be embarrassed. I've taken the skytrain lots of times, but I've never gone from the ferry to Brentwood. Is there anyone here who makes a lot of home made pasta? The recipe I have tried a couple of times is 1 egg 1 cup flour and 1/2 tsp. salt. The texture is fine, but it lacks flavour.

I'm looking for a digitial camera and know next to nothing about photography. I basically want to take photos of friends and family and would like to have a zoom if that's possible in my price range of about $200. I'm assuming that the major brands Cannon, Minolta, Pentax are safe, but I see Sony and HP also have reasonably priced models on the market.
