if possible spread it open, top side down and allow it to 'rest' this way for a few days. misting it lightly may help.

if you put it in the room it will be going in, spread it as taunt as you can and place furniture on it the weight of the furniture will help to straighten it out.

creases will fall out gradually, so be patient

cling the rug over the fence and set your iron to finished steam, whilst the iron is physically powerful and warm, carry it close, no longer too close nonetheless, to the rug and steam it, all of it - this might take a little time, because it fairly is a great piece of fabric, pay specific interest to the wrinkles/creases with some better steam. Brushing it at an identical time as steaming could no longer harm the two. Lay it backpedal at an identical time as its nonetheless heat, stretch it out to wrinkle unfastened place and weight it down, until eventually its cool/dry back. get rid of the weights and you're performed. desire it helps.

Lay it face down, lightly spray creases with water (don't soak it) and place heavy objects along the creases until dry. Probably overnight. Example: use a baking sheet held down with a few canned goods or bricks if you have them.
