    Hey!

Before you straighten your hair consider trying some products I use on my curly hair.

Wash and condition your hair with a product you get at salons called Matrix curl.life defining system. Then while it is still really soaking wet put TRESemme Curl Care Mousse(you can get in places like Walmart for about $3 or $4) through your whole head. Then use a hairdryer with a Diffuser and put your hair on the diffuser piece. Flip your hair upside don and dry it like that. Keep scrunching it while drying it!Don't use a hairdryer on your hair without a diffuser because it will frizz! You have to use a diffuser. This is amazing! It makes your hair so shiny and curly! Please do this before trying to straighten your hair! It doesnt matter if your hair seems frizzy. Your hair may not like the product you are using that might be why it is frizzing. If I don't use the correct product on it my hair can get a little frizzy!

If for some reason this dosn't work for you and you still want to straighten your hair, buy some good quality ones. I recommend Maxi Glide Straightners(link is below)

It is fantastic for thick hair! If you don't buy very good quality ones they won't work! Before you use the straightners though, you will want to wash your hair, let it dry, then put some blowdrying formula on it. That will help it keep straighter longer, as well has helping not to break or dry out your hair. After you have straightened it in small sections you might want to put some shine product through it to give it more shine.

    I really hope I helped!

You are probably over styling your hair. Be sure to use good quality shampoo. I recommend something for frizzy hair. I use just about anything made by John Frieda. Be sure to use conditioner just on the ends of your hair. Divide hair into sections. Use a good brush one for straightening. I use a chi but you can by similar straightening brushes at walmart made with ceramic along the barrel. Dry your hair out straight before straightening it. I have to do this. I use a deep conditioner at least every 2 weeks and get a trim every 6 wks. If its been a while I would get a good cut. Your hair is probably burned up if it just looks frizzy without curl. Good luck. Also try the Chi straightening stuff. Its really good

I had a similar problem. Just recently the stylist told me not to use any hair care product from supermarket shelf because of this and that... pH issue etc.

I'm now using Kerastase Nutritive Oleo Relax series. My hair is now soft and smooth and manageable. Smell nice too..

I don't use straightener and only blow dry after washing (just don't have time). Your hair will look fab if you have tiime to straighten it and style it.

Any good local salon should be able to recommend the best product for your hair or any of the Kerastase Nutirtive Series best for your hair.

    good luck.

I have the same proble. What I usually do, is:

    1-Wash and condition

2-Towel dry (just blot the towel on your hair. all the friction of the towel can frizz it more)

3- I apply a heat protector product to my hair. I use Bed Head Ego Boost before blow drying.

4- Pin hair up in small sections

5- Apply the heat protector (Ego Boost is a split end mender and also helps fly away) to each individual section

6-Blow dry each section individually. Put brush under hair, and blow dry (pointed straight down) After hair is dry, use the cool air setting on the blow dryer to seal hair cuticles

7- Once completly dry, pin it up once again. Use a heat protector (Chi, or Sebastian are what I like) and straighten each section

8-Use hairspray, and style in the way you like :)

Try using Biosilk, it works wonders on frizzy hair {just don't use TOO much, it'll make it greasy}. As far as I know you can only find it in salons or professionals only beauty supply stores, but you can get the generic brand {which works just as good} at Sally's beauty supply.

When you blow dry your hair be sure to aim the dryer in the same direction as the cuticle in your hair {down}. If you blow it up wards &/or all over the place it will cause your hair to frizz out.

Go to folica.com and buy one of the 100 dollar hair straighteners, those are the best. Also, under customer reviews there are lots of before/after pictures from customers.
