Its the blower resistor. Its a common problem If you only have one speed on any type of car. Alot of the time you also will need to replace the connector to it as well. They get very hot and melt together. If this happens again you need to replace the resistor and blower motor as well because it is drawing to much power and burning out the resistors.

the thermistor is bad. A thermistor increases voltage resistance and reduces voltage at certain intervals to control fan speed. The reason it works on high is because high speed has direct source voltage, that is to say 12.6V. The other thing it can be is the fan control switch in the dash. they are essentially circiut boards now and can wear out over time. i would take it to an electrician to do this work if you cant do it yourself. It can get tricky and its easy to get lost when doing electrical diagnostics. Oh yeah, if you look it up a thermistor, or rheostat some manufacturers call it, are called technically stepped resistors, because they increase resistance, therefore decreasing voltage as the switch climbs the ladder, or increasing fan speed. good luck. I'd give you my email address for help but I had some guy trying to debunk and disprove everything i said in an armchair diagnosis.

there's a blower motor resistor that goes bad on these that causes that to happen,it mounts on the outer part of the heater box,has a small wiring harness that goes to it,and has two screws that hold it on,they cost about 20 bucks new, that will cause this, that resistor keeps the heater motor from burning up,if wasn't for it the motor would run wide open all the time, that's whats causing it to only run on high, you could also have a bad switch ,but the resistor is the usual cause for that ,good luck on it.

go to the dodge dealer and ask for a blower resistor. thats what the problem is, it goes in under your dashboard. I've never installed one, but I've heard its very easy to diy. Or the dealer will charge a small fee to install it. but I guarantee its the blower resistor, its gone out on my car several times.

may be blower motor, resistor or a/c controller, if you wanna do it your self you need a power probe to check this problem or replace all three parts.

there is a resistor bank on the firewall that regulates the blower motor speed. the dealership sells them for about $10.00

you need to replace the blower resistor and connector. its located on the firewall by the right front strut tower.
