Eagles biggest mistake?

Did they make a huge mistake by getting rid of Jeff Garcia and keeping McNabb?

Huge mistake getting rid of Jeff Garcia as the backup because after watching the game it clearly points that McNabb is not able to make the same plays he was able to make last year prior to the injury that cost him the rest of the season. There were plays he seemed to be lost because he seemed to not move to make a play like he used to. If he keeps this up, and it comes down to that he is not as mobility as he used to be and not able to make big plays like before, then need to take him out and put in the back up. The bottom line is winning, winning, winning and if McNabb is not able to play like he used to, then he is not able to lead them to win games. I'm sure if Garcia was still there, Reid would have yanked McNabb and put Garcia in and the Eagles would have won!

No. Garcia is not going to make it the whole season. If he does, he won't be as effective in week 14 as he was yesterday. Philly should have got themselves and good serviceable back up this year and let him start the season. McNabb has come back too soon from his knee injury for fear of his job. Philly should have let the back up start for the first 4-6 games and spent some money on their receivers and d-line. Also Reid needs to take a page out of the old man's play book and run the ball. If he is going to play McNabb, he has to protect him.

No they did not make a mistake in keeping McNabb, McNabb is the man, u can't even think like that if u r an Eagles fan, that's over and done with. What happened on MNF is over, plain and simple. The better team won. The Redskins are a team on rise. McNabb is still the man.

mcnabb is the superior QB and garcia wanted his money. its doesnt make sense to ship off mcnabb because he is the better QB and also has a huge contract that no team can take on. the eagles will be fine. reid isnt known for starting well for the 1st 2 games anyway.

    No they didn't.

They have a QB and Tampa has a QB. no harm done.

Plus, McNabb is the franchise player. The problem is when Philly loses, most people blame the QB. lets not forget the coach responsibilities, the special team and the defense.

all have to do go job especially when McNabb not a 100 percent.

no they definately made the right move to keep mcnabb but keeping jeff as a backup with mcnabbs injury history would have been a good idea

its all about promises...mcnabb said he would come back...he did, he just isnt the same mcnabb, are they worries..no, cause kevin kolb is a very good qb...im not counting mcnabb out yet...think of how big of a surgery that was and what kind of qb he is...if this keeps up, they might be kicking themselves, let it play out

Source(s): huge cowboys fan, but i dont hate any players or team, i give them fair judgement
