Dear friend i can understand your problem. At present you neither getting job satisfaction nor sufficient compensation. You don't like the work in Accounting field. The solution for your problem in my view is that while working at present employer you can try for any other job and meanwhile you will also increase your qualifications through correspondence course. You can select the study course in which you are interested. I am not any eminent authority to advice anybody but still it's my suggestion to you that never give up and try to secure the slkills in the fields where you have keen interest.

Statistics say that over 80% of those employed do NOT like their job. But they continue to do it because they have to earn a living and pay the bills. Everyone of us has gone through at one point or the other the state you are in. And the good news is, everyone comes out of it too.
Suggestion:
You should continue your current job as you know what you can do and how to control your time on day-to-day basis. Use the spare time to educate yourself with some other field that you may be interested in and may be even become an expert. Remember, you are Respected and valued at your current job. If you move to a new one, you have to rebuild all of the reputation from the beginning.
You may also start something of your own, however small it may be. You may gain satisfaction out of it.

They always say to never burn your bridges, but you can try to burn the candle at both ends. In other words, stay at your present job so that you have an income and some security, but on the side, practice your interviewing skills, make sure your resume is updated, network to find a better job, go back to college if needed, work on finding or training for that job or career you really want. When you are ready to move on, then make sure to give 2-weeks notice and then leave with pride.

YOUR APPROACH TO FRIENDS FOR CAREER GUIDANCE :
I am to remind you that friends are generally not in a position to uplift one another . You have to take blessings from siniors who have the capability to do so.
You seem to be in a dillema . Going for career building risks by changing over to new jobs or stay with present one and rear up the family and child .
Actually, a balance between the two is followed by family men.
You may take calculated risk but not beyond .Your progress is guided by your initiative, capability and social contacts. You cross check these points and go for the optimum.
You have not wasted time so far.

It seems that you have plenty of time to spare. The best thing for you is to enroll for a correspondence course. Since you into accounting i would suggest MBA for you. You can enroll for IGNOU's distance learning programme. Many other MBA institutes like symbiosis , ICFAI etc also has good distance learning programme. Once you get an MBA, you can apply for a management job. in a better company with a better pay
