coralife actinic NO-t12 for an all softies coral tank? does it help?

someone gave me a set of coralife actinic bulb, im just wondering if its really help with my upcoming all softies tank?

soft corals dont required that much lighting arent they?

and another question?.

is it ok to put a stocked for 3 days tap water on my tank? instead of RO/DI water for an exchange on the evaporated waterr in my display.?.

    Coralife Actinic lamp is a 100% blue actinic 03 phosphor that peaks at 420 nanometers, its good for soft corals too.

    Actinic of some sort is necessary for healthy Corals.

    No on the aged tap water,most municipal water supplies contain chloramine instead of plain old chlorine,and it's much more stable and remains in the water much longer. Reverse Osmosis/De-ionized water or distilled water are the only ones to use for "make-up" water,since they add nothing but water,and won't change the chemistry of the tank.
