Hylands makes teething tablets...they disolve within a couple of seconds of going in the babies mouth...i have heard rave reviews about them...Or baby orajel, I used that with my son..and gave him cold wash clothes to chew on...my cousin had a long strip of leather that her son was absolutely in love with when he was teething...you can always give them some of those zwieback biscuits to chew on...ofcourse some tylenol may not hurt if the baby is fussy...My son turned in to the exorcist when he was teething, he ran cose to 104 fever everytime, had serious issues with projectile vomiting, and would end up with an ear infection....faithfully...good luck with your kiddo :)

I did this with my second daughter who had 4 teeth pop in a 19 day period. I'd start with oragel, then pop 2-3 Hyland's teething tabs under her tongue, and give it 15 minutes. If she still needed it I would give her motrin (after 6 months old). She kinda liked the frozen wet washcloths and teething rings too, but some of the best things for her were my fingers rubbing her gums with one of those slip on baby toothbrushes!

I used to chop cucumber and carrots into sticks and put them in the freezer. That was the best thing as it was cold and hard.

If you want to go natural, try "licorice stick". They look like a piece of wood and people might look at you funny but they're great. The bickiepegs biscuits are also a good one or "teetha" homeopathie by Nelson (rub on gums).
They all worked wonders for my 2 daughters. You can find all in health shop or good chemist.
Good luck

It really all depends on the child.
When my nephew was 9 months old, all we had to do was give him a sippy cup and rock him and he'd stop fussing.
With my niece, no matter what we did, she'd cry. Eventually, gels would make it easier on her.
I'd say just keep trying, and hopefully you'll find something that works.

Try taking a clean wash cloth and wetting it then sticking it in the freezer until it freezes. Then let the baby chew on it.
Also try children's motrin or tylenol. I have personally found motrin to work best.
