I used to have "Top Contributor" under my name but it's not there anymore, why?

well there seems to be many glitches latley ..all i can say is to stay active in the category that you had it in...recently i checked the sports leades at one time i had close to 1100 best answers and know it says i only have 849....so i would say it s the grmlins that got in here again

Hi. You used to have it, but you lost it whenever you fail to contribute actively in a particular category.

It appears everyone is attracted to the orange TC badge. I am also attracted to it, for it highlights me proudly in a particular category. It indicates my help, my decency, contribution and willingness in a particular category, and since you wish to obtain this TC badge as well, I am going to help you understand how I earned mine. Please note the TC ( Top Contributor ) badge can be accomplished in similar ways as to my explanation below.

1 When deciding to become a TC, the first step is to choose a category you are enlightened of. This means you should join a specific category to answer questions you are capable of answering. If you are great at answering question about heart problems, you should join the HEALTH category.

2 Once you have joined a category you feel comfortable with, you must remain active in that particular category. Answering questions only on certain days will not guarantee you the TC badge, just as how your boss at work does not want you to work whenever you feel like. You have to get your job done respectively.

3 The TC badge is not permanent. If you fail to contribute actively within a particular category, the TC badge will be taken away from you in just one week.

4 Being chosen as best answer helps you earn the badge. However, best answer a alone does not guarantee you the TC badge; you have to work in other areas, such as being active and providing decent answers.

Whenever you become a member in a particular category, people will start noticing your contribution. If they find you are a very good contributor in that particular category, they will likely trust your answers than they would trust another person’s answer, and they will proudly honor your answers as best answer, which earns you 10 points each.

5 Lastly, you should try earn approximately 200 points or more a week in a specific category. You can become a TC in up to three categories of your choice. If you keep up this attitude for the complete week, you’ll be giving a TC badge.

if someone has answered more questions than you , they will become the Top Contributor, so you need to find out who that person is and answer more question than they have.

Yahoo answers sucks.
