I heard a regular fire wire would work. Is that true?? If so, how do i know which one to buy?

Your kit should come with a small black "usb to memory card" stick. It has a one usb end, and a slot for your memory card to go into. A firewire is a wire similar to a usb wire, but its more used to transfer Video from Videocameras. It has a box with an arrow end and the other side is a very small end looking like: |< You can typically buy these from Futureshop and Best Buy etc but they can get pricy for the "professional" ones (not better) so try checking Walmart or Zellers etc before choosing
