What kind of things did your parents used to tell you as a child to keep you quiet?
So my sister and her friends were re-hashing stories about how gullible they were. One story, told by my friend Rae, has to be the funniest form of mental abuse ever inflicted on a child! :D
Rae's mother : Keep crying Rae! Keep crying! Because, when you run out of tears, you're going to DIE!
Rae's friend : Rae! Don't cry! If you die, I won't have nobody to play with!

Well..this isn't really about keeping quiet, but for my sis to get me to quit picking my nose, she said that there was a snail up there that would bite my finger! LOLi never picked my nose again xD and if I ever made a face my mom said that my face would freeze like that.
