  • Is there such thing as a portable power supply?

For a art project, I want to be able to plug a PS2, speakers, and a Portable DVD player into a power supply for show in a public place (a park).

There are no power sockets anywhere. Is there a device I can buy - which will give me at least 45 minutes worth of power?

  • What do you call a sentence that is?

What do you call a sentence that is made up of the same first letter? I've spent two days trying to remember that word.

Example : Terry Thatchett touched twenty tomatoes in the toolshed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I want to get a motorized vehicle?

I live in Philadelphia, and need a vehicle to drive around in. I am looking for something in the lines of a motorized bike, but nothing as big as a motorcycle, as I would need to be able to park it neatly on a city block without impeding walking traffic.

I was suggested a Vespa motorscooter, but they cost at an upwards of 4,500 dollars. I am hoping to keep my purchase under a $1,000.

Some things I am looking for :

    -Can fit a second person

-Able to go at least 30 mphs

    -Motorized

-Requires a license (So no kiddie toys for me!)

    -cost less than 1000 bucks

    Any suggestions?

  • What kind of things did your parents used to tell you as a child to keep you quiet?

So my sister and her friends were re-hashing stories about how gullible they were. One story, told by my friend Rae, has to be the funniest form of mental abuse ever inflicted on a child! :D

Rae's mother : Keep crying Rae! Keep crying! Because, when you run out of tears, you're going to DIE!

Rae's friend : Rae! Don't cry! If you die, I won't have nobody to play with!

So what kind of stories were you told to keep you quiet?

  • Printing things that I digitally color?

Whenever I color something in a graphic program, when I print it, it ALWAYS comes out bad. Like, the reds look a little TOO pink, green looks like greenish mud, blues aren't vibrant and bright. It doesn't have the same spark as I colored it. I learned a little about switching from RGB to CMYK to improve printing quality, but that doesn't help as much.

What can I do to set up my workstation to ensure that when I print out something I color, it looks as good as how I colored it on the monitor?

I have a LCD monitor, along with a old damaged CRT monitor that makes things look pretty dark.

Any help is very much appreciative.

  • Does finding a job rely more on luck?

This is more based on jobs that don't really require a resume.

But after filling out 13 applications (and getting no answer back), I finally managed to get a job because I was lucky to hand the application right to the general manager, and was interviewed on the spot.

So a question to those who deal with applications. Is it more about the luck, or do you folk actually look at skills and experience, and then give people a call?

  • My buddy is turning 21 soon. What can I do?

He's not much of a drinker though.

We're both gamers, and we live in Philadelphia.

What event can I plan for him that will make him really feel like 21 is a age to remember?

  • Do you really care about the OJ simpson fiasco?

Or is the MEDIA the one who are purporting that we (the viewers) care about it?

  • Why do people continue to use Linkin Park in Youtube videos?

    I like Linkin Park.

But this isn't just about Linkin Park!

But why do people continue to use the same type of mainstream music over and over and over and over and over to get some sort of mood for their dumb video?

I've probably watched at least 60 videos that used Crawling already....

  • Do you think a lot of the answers could have just been solved using google?

A lot of the questions I've been reading and answering, most of them I can easily type in their key phrases and go straight to google for their answer.

Are people getting so lazy, they don't even want to search for it anymore, and rather have someone just point to it for them?

  • Do people applaud at the end of movies now?

I remember when I was 6, and after a awesome viewing of Terminator 2, everybody applauded. I think I cried a little, with joy. But now, I just walk out, mumbling and feeling unsatisfied by the lack of applause.

I tried to start a clap, at the end of Bourne UItimatum, but nobody joined me. Instead, they stared at me with disdain.

Why don't people applaud at movies anymore? It's a awesome experience! :)

  • What is your response if I walked over and ate with you?

If you are eating alone, probably enjoying a book or reading a newspaper - what would be your response I were to just come over and ask to eat with you?

  • Why do people care ONLY about graphics?

I know and met a few idiots who refuse to play great games, because of the graphics.

    Example :

"I refuse to play starcraft because of the way it looks."

    and

"Guitar Hero? They should have used the graphics like the Gorillaz music videos!"

And these same idiots tout over the awesomeness of like San Andreas. Now kid me not, San Andreas is a great game, but the graphics aren't exactly the greatest. If you run through any interior area, they're pretty blocky and ugly.

So why the put down? Why can't people just pick up games and think about the graphics AFTER playing it for an hour?

  • What do you think of the fourth generation Pokemon?

Just based on appearance. Some of them look pretty amazing, like Rhyperior, Electivire, and Magmortar. But most of them look like crap! They don't even look like animals anymore!

First and Third generation monsters were great looking, but second and fourth look awful.

    What do you think?

  • Was it legal to hold my cousin in the back room of a Kmart?

He was charged with stealing $100 worth of pokemon cards. They brought him to the back of the store, and demanded that somebody pick him up. I mean, he's only 14, and kids get into all sorts of deviant acts in their teens, so I wasn't so surprised.

    That was months ago.

But after reading this story (http://newsite.michaelrighi.com/2007/09/01/arreste...

and still learning what my rights are - was it legal to even hold my cousin there? Shouldn't there have been police action?

  • Does the food I eat make me look more westernized?

I am an Asian American, born in America and raised eating a variety of different types of food.

Through appearance alone, for some reason, a person from Asia can immediately guess that I'm a product of western culture. I don't even have to say a word. I can even be dressed like they are - they can immediately tell.

I've heard that because of western food containing more protein, asian americans grow taller than their counterparts in asia.

Is it because of the food I eat?

  • Would you use another man's deodorant?

Would you use another man's deodorant, knowing full well that it has come into contact with his armpit PUBES, directly onto your armpits?

Or, are you more mature than I am? :)
