I usually remember to use the 'Check Spelling' button, but I'm a 'good speller' and usually get 'no misspelled words' when I do. Of course, I don't ALWAYS use it, and sometimes an 'error' slips through. I 'find it' later, usually ... but what about those people who 'type' using the 'txt msg' language and who also 'can NOT hit the right key' so their 'messages' are virtually illegible because of the 'two different kinds of mistakes' to try to get through to figure out 'what this person is saying'? I'm a 'fan' of the 'check spelling' button, but I'm afraid that this is too 'instant' a forum for most of the people who come here to 'use it regularly.' And what about the 'grammar' mistakes? THOSE often need even MORE correction, but there's NO WAY to do that in Y!A ... but then my 'grammar corrention' doesn't work correctly in 'Word' either, because I am a ... writer, and THAT is 'a mistake' according to the 'grammar mavens' ... but it is 'my style' and is more 'friendly' than 'formal English grammar and spelling.' So ... give these people a break ... but if you want to be a 'good example,' ALWAYS use the 'Check Spelling' button before you hit Submit.

I am a country hick, and I never use check spelling.I figure most know what I meant to say,If I mess up so what?I hated english in school and I hate it now.So forgive me if offend anyone on my spelling,I see lawyers every day that could not turn a water tap,but they make it in life.So with my country bunkin butt i think i will survive the rest of my miserable life,by the way I have made it 61 years, and I still hate English.

Joey,
I use the spell check button, I do so if I spell out a word
but am suspicious if I spell properly. I use the spell check
after I have typed out an answer to a question.
Source(s): Quite often when I do this there are no misspellings. or if there is its one or two. I just finished using this - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

I'd also appreciate a Check Grammar button, but I'd settle for the Check For Stupidity button! LOL

Yes, I noticed it quite a while ago. And yes, I do use it, if I did not then, you would not be able to read what I am writing. I am a HORRIBLE speller.
