Are there Christian churches that are accepting of other religions?

I live near Raleigh, NC and I'm looking for a church that's not legalistic and doesn't claim to be the "one true religion." Does anyone know a good place to find one?

You are getting some really crappy responses....

You should start with a non denominational church. I grew up Southern Baptist-- I have since switched to non denominational. Let me be very honest with you, I don't consider myself a certain religion, I just like to say that I am a christian. You will probably have to try a few places out before you find a fit or maybe you like two of them. It really doesn't matter as long as you feel like you are in the right place.

The whole point of church is to meet once a week and give thanks to God. It isn't a dog and pony show so if that is what you are seeing that might not be the church for you. I go to a very small church where the people get real with themselves and everyone else. They talk about their pain whether it be from divorce or drug addiction- it doesn't matter.

Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

Good luck. People thrive on feeling right. If you are looking for acceptance across the board try atheism...oops...nope not that either. :-)

A religion that is universally accepting doesn't cut it either, because no one else will accept you.

Religion/corporate church is the downfall of faith. it dogmatizes and indoctrinates.

My recommendation is steer away from church. find a group of believers that actually practice what they believe. Truth in action speaks louder than a universalist pulpit.

Sorry, dear one. NO Christian church is going to allow other beliefs within their doctrine. Though the Episcopals recently tried with Islam ...

    God bless!

So you're looking to hang out with a group of hypocrites and liars?

Jesus did that, but he had better intentions.
