What’s the deal? People ask where they can buy an item off the net, then put “not eBay” in their question

It just bugs me all to h*ll.

What's wrong with eBay? Sure, I know people get scammed on eBay, but they get scammed on other selling sites as well. I think it's that they don't understand how eBay works. There are safeguards in place for buyers, so they don't get scammed. I've had maybe 3 times when a seller/buyer wasn't honest. Every time, eBay came through, and made it right.

So why the distrust of eBay? I don't get it at all.

I'm sure I will add details as answers come in.

I think they do that because they need another website that will sell it more cheaper or have a better offer. They also look for a safer website that will allow them to know that they won;t get scammed.

It's not what's wrong with eBay.

These people would probably perfer to not have to bid in auction at this time.

    Just a thought
