Help. Ok. Seriously, Why is it when I drink a beer and not 5 minutes later I begin to break out in a sweat?

I just recently started this. I drink a beer on occasion and have finally caught on to this!! I mean a cold sweat on my forehead, my neck and on the inner bends of my arms. I am not noticing any other reactions. Just curious.

Maybe you are having a reaction to the alcohol. My daughter turns very red around her face and neck when she drinks. It gets almost painful at times. May have to stop drinking beer if it keeps happening. Sorry.

The active ingredient in beer, wine and distilled spirits is ethyl alcohol. Which, by the way, is toxic to the body which is why when you have had "one too many" your speech is slurred, you cant walk straight and it is illegal to drive. The body, in its drive to eliminate this toxin, does whatever it can to do so. Sometimes, this elicits other responses like sweating as the introduction of alcohol into your system is somewhat of a shock to it. Safest thing to do is to not drink.

.one of the ways your body gets ready of alcohol is through the skin, but I don't think that it would get that far into your body that fast.
