Why are so many all over the world afraid we may all get terrorised?

After 9/11 I must admit I was scared and wondered what as to become of us. My husband said if you live in fear then they've won, but reading the following a few months later gave me hope and courage:- History shows that, when the world was facing its bleakest moments,the commonsense of decent men and women and their goodwill for others has always triumphed. As an optimist, I believe this will always be so. Rather than despairing about evil,let's celebrate the good in people and concentrate on developing it. Let's work at establishing the kind of freedom and prosperity we enjoy in Australia for others in less advantaged countries. I believe we can do this. It's called having faith and hope in the future. I think it's because terrorists are crazy people who hate their enemys so much, that they want to kill themselves & as many innocent civilians as possible.

What terrorism?????????????
