Win98 compatible Flash drive?
I looked at everything at the local Best Buy and they ALL required Win2000/XP/Vista. Does a Win98 compatible even exist?
I should add that my PC uses Win 98 First Edition.

The majority of the flash drives are Win 98 compatible. Just that since Microsoft no longer supports 98, most companies have quite listing in on their packages. Normally all you have to do is load a driver (check the maker's web site) and the drives will work on 98. In fact, checking the web site for drivers is the best way to determine if a drive is 98 compatible.

Centon has a thumbdrive that will work. You have to go to their web site and download drivers to put in the computer you wish to use it on on some models. The PRO and the DATASTICK II and III are all compatable with Win98.
I think most are either already compatable or have drivers on their websites even if the packaging doesn't say Win98 on it.

You will need to upgrade to Win98SE as USB support was not available till Second Edition. Without that support no Flash drive will work. All the drives I have seen that do have drivers for 98 all state second Edition
